Make to sure the machine shop measures the bore geometry before just sticking it back on the hone. The wear pattern in the cylinder walls indicates an out-of-round condition and the wear pattern on the 2nd compression ring further confirms this. They may need to re-bore the cylinder to the next size, or sleeve it to get it right.

The bearing damage is from debris that passed through during start up or shortly thereafter. Make sure the block and crank are as clean as possible before re-assembling.

They are good people and they do stand behind their work. I will have them check roundness also. Thank you all. Depending on my work schedule I will try to get it to their shop later this week or the first of next week.

Just for educational purposes, here's what a 400,000 mile piston ring wear looks like. You can see how the contact area of the compression ring is even, but fully maxed out. This engine started having excess blowby. You can also see how the second ring has even wear too.
