If you did a Cummins conversion and bought all the adaptors and parts to make the Job easy, the converion parts not including the engine will run you about $7k alone.

He's prolly not too far out of line with the conversion completely done and in a truck that's in nice shape.

That really doesn't matter. You never can expect the value you spent to buy/do a modification to translate over to resale value. Never. The truth is, the closer to bone stock the more valve the vehicle will have when reselling.
