I made my own cables. got some really good cables an connectors an shirk tubing.. check out this site they even have some cables made up all ready.

They're made by Standard Motor Products, so probably OK... the price is lower than the Deka I bought but the shipping will add a significant amount.

Many Electrical Supply sales counters have loaner hydraulic crimpers. Without an account I wouldn't expect to leave the store with it, but if a nice guy walked in with the cables (or even bought the cable there) and asked to make a couple crimps right there I bet they would let you.
