need help on how to remove the axleshaft on a 1992 blazer rear wheel shafts. i removed the lock screw that hold the small shaft but the shaft will not move so i can take the C-locks out. it is 4x4 but doing the rear seals.:dunno

Take the small screw out of the cross shaft that holds the spiders in place.

Rotate one tire to make the spiders roll to the open part of the carrier and take them out.

You will need to back the brakes off to force the axle inwards to remove the clip.

Once the brakes are disconnected and the clip is out, the axle should just slide right out.

If the cross shaft is stuck (I can't remember if it has a keyway, or a flat spot on a 10 bolt, or if it has anything at all) but you may be able to rotate it to free it up.

A brass drift is going to be your best friend. DO NOT USE A STEEL PUNCH AS IT CAN MARK THINGS UP!!!
