Can someone help me identify this axle. I know it came off a 2002 F-250. Here is the info from the tag on the axle.

Top Line = s 406 h
Bottom Line = 3.73 10 5 1k50

I would assume that this is a Ford Sterling 10.5" rear end with a 3.73 gear ratio. Is that correct?

Thanks

Yes, all the superduty F-250s have the 10.5 rear for sure. Your axle also has an open 3.73 which was the only ratio available with the diesels (LS being an option).

Wouldn't you like to know

So did the single rear wheel only come with 3.73? Because I worked on a 99 Dually 7.3L with the Dana 80 & it had 4.10 gears. That truck was stock too.

Also have to add in, if you want to put that axle on an OBS Ford the bolt pattern won't match up with the front.
