Auto with a chip?

I'm used to the bolt action, but am looking at selling the 02 and buying another 02, this one for much cheaper, and almost stock. The guy that has it now had a built tranny, but took it out for his 2004 12 valve swap. He left his Quadzilla Adrenaline in there, but I don't want to fry the tranny. Is anyone running around with a chip and a stock auto? And, where should I start with the tranny build, as I am planning on doing more work to this truck in the future, I want to make it strong.

Set aside some bucks and call Suncoast, ATS or any of the other trans shops.

anything above stock with an stock auto tranny is asking for failure. The stock auto trannies are only rated for 5 hp over the stock output of the motors so they are very close to failure right from the get go.

my 01 has a stock auto an i'm running a quad addrenaline, I can slip the convertor if I'm not careful with the betta tunes but as long as I'm not boost launching it it seems to be ok. love the chip though wouldn't buy anything but.
