Honestly I would get whatever kit you can find for the best price. Some kits were better in different areas than others but for the most part they are all pretty darn good and all a royal pita to install

I'll see $500 non-gated ATS kits pop up around here from time to time. I very rarely see Banks kits and never Hypermax in the local classifieds. If I see one again I'll post up. Its a good idea to have any used turbo gone through and/or closely inspected before you install it

Just askin because I don't know but couldn't you adjust the waste gate on a 093 for higher boost so it operates like a non gated turbo but the gate kicks in before your boost gets too much?

Correct CJ you can adjust it or adjust to to the closed spot an leave it will create more boost also.
