I'm waiting for my ATS tubo kit to arrive (thanks frdtrckmnrich ;Sweet ) and was wondering if anyone had a copy of the instructions or a link to a install writeup. Its not life or death but would be nice to have for reference while doing the install. All I have been able to find is a parts list etc...

Thanks
Nic

Wish I had this before I installed my turbo. I had my turbo on the engine 3 different time before I got it right. Two things helped me,

1, Mine was a factory turbo. I didn't have to bend the lip on the cab.

2, I have a set of heads and intake off a 6.9 bolted together and installed the turbo on it first before I put it on my truck.

All in all took me 7 hours to get it on from start to finish and I had air tools.

It's not in the instructions, but take a good look at your cab bushings before jumping into the turbo install. If your cab bushings are sagging you'll have a time clearing everything. If they're sagging too far, it's a no go, guess how I found that one out -cuss
Now is a real good time for new ones and you can leave them loose and block the cab up a few more inches for some finger room while stuffing the thing in.

Thats a good idea. I bought the body mount kit when I did the front clip swap but only did the front 2. Plus it is going to end up getting body work and paint soon so I should do anything i need to now. Im also debating upgrading the old 4 speed.

Anyone have any good info on swapping in a 6 speed ;Sweet ?

I have a feeling this is going to be a weekend affair.

Thanks. I did some more searching in this forum and found a link to the Banks instructions so I should be good to go.

The turbo that I bought is the old style ATS for the 6.9 and I was wondering what they came with for a downpipe? Turbo outlet size? I think I am going to add 4" exhaust while im at it. Any help would be really appreciated :)
