I don't necssarily want to physically remove the RABS II valve from my 97. I want to effectively remove the RABS, so when I brake I only get straight forward brakes. Something, and I assume the RABS, has been locking up one rear wheel when I turn while I am braking under 20MPH.

Has anyone effectively taken the RABSII out of the braking system? If so how?
-I assume the RABS valve has to stay on the truck so all the lines can connect up
-remove the spring from the RABS valve?
-disconnected the connector to the rear wheel speed detector, at the rear differential?

How does the braking work after you effectively remove the RABSII.

Thanks,

I just pulled the spring like you mentioned and unplugged the cable. There is a way to ground the harness so he light wont come on but I cant remember it now.

rabs should not lock up one wheel.
sound more like a wheelylinder, or a park brake cable issue
I know I had my fair share of cables not allowing the shoes to rtuen to mormal. this could also be your pedal issue,
when my cable stuck I could feel it in the brake pedal.
also you cant unplug the sensor on the axle, that also controld the speedo
