Just bought a turn signal switch for my 1985 f350. Pulled the wheel installed had working everything again.... for a couple of days. Now my hazards and my brake lights have gone out again. I have checked everything else. Replaced every fuse and relay. Have power getting to my brake pedal switch. Have working turn signals and running lights. I am getting no power to my red\white wire that is connected to the hazard pull out switch. This column switch is only a few days old and worked fine when installed. Has anyone else had this issue after installing a new turn signal switch in the column?

Wasn't their driveworks brand was it? I've gotten some driveworks stuff new in box in worse shape than a worn out Moog part!

I already threw the box away. Blueish box with red writing. Never heard of the company so probably was a drive works

I got 2 from napa both still ticking away one for the bronco and one for the 86 f350

Thanks. Will try napa next if it turns out this is my issue.

I've recently bought a napa switch. Worked great for about 3 weeks then the latches that hold the switch in the on position broke and had to hold the lever in the direction I wanted to signal

Those 'switches' being the piece of plastic with two spring-y bent bits of wire on it? Yeah, I swapped in an aftermarket one in my single cab '88; I get intermittent brake lights on the left side, especially if it's not exactly centered after the turn signals come off. Piece of junk.

Thanks for the help everyone. I'll try a new switch....again.. anyone know where the better quality switches are?

Or know of a forum that describes how to fix the hazard switch section on the switch?

I went through the same thing awhile back. The truck ('97 F250, 6.9) currently has no working hazard lamps and I believe, I believe I did find the park brake switch wire rubbing on the bracket.
Replacing that switch is a PITA due to the patent infringements on GM and Chrysler.

Messed up my turn signal switch, pinched some wires, the first one is a cheap o'Reilly, new one is the lifetime one, there is a difference in build quality.
