I just picked up an 86 F250 6.9IDI with a 4 spd. The shifter on the transmission is pretty sloppy and after an initial search on this site and online I couldn't find a shifter for it. My question is do they exist? I did find a Trans to bellcrank lever rod and a trans shifter insulator bushing, would changing those parts help tighten it up? Any help is appreciated!

We used to weld the inner stub piece of the shifter to the shift lever to get rid o the slop at the shop I was at. Also pull the shifter and make sure the tip is not worn down.
