98 upgrades

I have a buddy that wants to know what turbo upgrades are a start for a stock truck, 5 spd and if a 4 inch exh with no muffler is going to help with the original exh housing.

I am going to put gauges on and a new exh gasket as it is leaking, then go from there.

How far does he want to go power wise?

I would go with the HX35.......there are alot of good used ones out there at anytime..........this will support 400 ho 900 trq

1320Cummins runs crazy numbers with a stock turbo (like 12s, you can check the sig).

He'd be a good guy to PM.

Can you tweak the HX-35 that's on the truck, maybe put a different compressor wheel in, tighten the exhaust side so it'll spool up harder?

How 'bout a high flow exhaust manifold since your gonna take it off anyway?

Crazy fuel plate?

Some 100hp injectors?

Or does it have that VP44 pump on it.
