95 Gmc 6.5 no power

Pump was the fix

Thanks to all who gave me help with my 6.5 with no power. Special thanks to fordsandguns. Yesterday I hooked up to my 31 ft TT and hauled it 125 miles. Up hills I didn't have very little black smoke if any and was able to hold or gain speed. It was like a new truck and to think that the vacuum pump caused that. Are all deisels designed like that, with a vacuum pump? Sure seems like the other options would sure be better in the long run.
