I don't know if it was mentioned in this thread already, but make sure you get the coolant additive in the coolant. Otherwise cavitation can occur.

Thanks! I picked up some coolant from Napa, that is supposed to have the additive already. I'll do a test, and add some! Good tip!

Interesting, all my parts are in. I ordered everything i need through Rock Auto, and a steering gear box from Red Head. Everything was ordered on Thursday, and everything it was delivered today. WOW!

EDIT:

Most of the parts are here... I am missing 3 more boxes ... but big ticket items are here.

Once this is all fixed, and behind me, I will be working on installing a coolant filter using napa kit 4019 with either 4071 filter w/ 4 units of charge or 4073 w/ 8 units, depending on the condition of my filter.

Steering gear is a ***** to get out. I didn't have the tools to detach it from the steering linkage... but, I am almost there. At this rate, I won't get to enjoy the AC and leak free power steering until winter. lol.
It's important to get things done right the first time. Anyway, I need the truck -- it needs to be put to work soon. We made an offer an a house that will need renovations, and the truck will be the integral tool in getting it completed.
