92 f250 idi - i beam lift? 2wd...

1992 f250 idi, 2wd...

So the front you can only get 2 or 3" before your steering knuckle starts pinching, even with new camber bushings... So you've got to drop the ibeams to keep lifting, but I can't find any drop brackets for the 2wd.

I ordered some 4wd brackets from eBay but they didnt fit the 2wd; wrong shape, even...

Well.. I can't find anything reasonably priced. The 4x4 brackets are $60/pair...but all I'm finding for 2wd are $550+

How bout removal of the crossmember unit, and fab a drop bracket setup?

I don't know if this will help but I discovered a while back the 2 wd bracket is the same as a 4wd bracket on the f150. Mabye if there's a drop bracket for that it would fit?

Actually they should work. 3/4 2wd and 1/2 2wd and 4wd are all interchangeable with each other, in the mounting points anyway. 3/4 4x4 is the oddball with a shorter beam length.

My 3rd printer was $200, it'll print 8"x8"x11", but even with 100% infill I doubt it would support the thousands of pounds, especially at a velocity.

I know I ordered 92 f250 4x4 drop brackets that mount under the engine and the ibeams mount to the brackets, but they just didn't line up, holes, faces, or eyelets... Id imagine a 4x4 would've had a solid axle and leafs, and no ibeams anyway ...but who knows.

I did just buy a house with a 2car+shop garage, I suppose I could buy a plasma cutter, a welder, and a drill press and see if I can get something to hold, but hell that's the $500 for 2wd specific brackets already.

It would make sense, atleast to me, that obs f1f2f3 are largely similar, so perhaps I can find f1 or f3 2wd brackets, smart.

The f250 4x4 doesnt have a solid axle. Its the twin-traction beam. Shorter beams than a 2wd.

The 2wd beam setup is similar for 150/250/350.

Another way to go is a body lift, and achieve your ground clearance with bigger tires.

I'm late to the party, but as has been said, the 2wd F150-350 used the same mounting brackets, the 4x4 F150 used the same brackets as the 2wd. The 4x4 F250 used a leaf sprung TTB with a shorter axle half on the driver's side, and the 4x4 F350 (86 and newer) used a solid axle. The F150 drop brackets will fit a 2wd F250 or F350.
