help please- been trying to track this one down for a long time-
gotta short that drains my batteries-
finally found the culprit (i thought)- a power lead off the starter
solenoid, when disconnected, stops the power drain.
and stops the tach, O/D, and first gear.
i was told to replace the PCM.
it that the same as a transmission control module?
i have all the numbers off the box of the PCM-(pulled and replaced it last night)
does this sound right? and if so,
where is best place to find one?
had another thought and just put my hand on the box -PCM (i left all the trim off)
and it is HOT. -truck still attached to overnight battery charger....
so i guess it is the PCM.
don't know which numbers are important, so-
