'88 manual door lock sporadic problem

Hey all,
Putting this here cus the truck is an '88 IDI but I assume it's the same for any OBS truck too.
All manual locks with this truck.
My driver's side door sometimes won't unlock from the outside, like the mechanism is jammed or stuck. But sometimes it works fine. It has this problem maybe 1 out of 5 times I try to unlock it. Not a big deal because the passenger door unlocks fine but assume eventually the pass. door might start having a similar problem.
I haven't taken off any door paneling to look at things yet but has anyone had this problem? Assuming some part may just need to be lubricated or something - but would be nice to know where to look if I try to fix

I had that and I squirted a nice lock lube all over everything I could easily access and it went away.

If it’s not the lock cylinder itself it is probably one of the nylon bushings that attach the rod to the lock mechanism. Of course it could be dry and need lubricant.

And that's free to try unless you have to buy the lubricant first.
