Hey there. Wondering if anybody can shed some light on this. I have a 6.9 IDI that I plan on installing into my 1985 Quadravan. Question is that on the drivers side motor mount to the frame it seems like there is a adapter to the frame. Can anybody confirm this. I have done some research and seen a picture of this piece I am talking about I believe. BTW my van is a gasser so I don't have any reference. Thanks

are you removing a gas engine? if so you need the frame perches from a 83-91 Diesel van. the van also has a different L motor mount and oil cooler than the F series of same vintage. so if you are using a Fseries deisel engine you will need to source some old parts. sorry have no pics , just years of light truck and van parts swap. at least you are in California , no rust issues.

I had a quigley conversion E250 here and it had a lot of crossmember trimmed away on the bottom edge for front axle centre section clearance. this might be an issue onyours especially if you are not lifting it. the idi is fricken heavy LOL

Yes I am converting from a 5.8 van. I have the van oil cooler, van block brackets, and new van motor mounts. Seen a picture online from nickpisca that shows a bracket on the drivers side only. I have been searching for a bracket but have not run into one yet. I may end up having to make one unless I find one. This bracket seems to be the only thing holding me up. I do have the F series brackets that I could sacrifice for my need as well.Thanks. If you have any leads on the frame bracket send them my way. Much appreciated

I have a 88 E350 with a diesel in it in my back yard but its part of a snow bank, I can't get to it right now. I think there is a Van specific section on FTE, somebody there can probably help you. it might not be a perch on that side, might just be a plate that puts slots in the right locations for the motormount studs. its been a while since I swapped these parts on a van, took lots of van engines and put them in trucks over the years, but not the other way.
