That truck has been on ebay for atleast 6 months. Its a darn nice looking truck, but something just doesnt look right, and I cant put my finger on it as to what it is.

I'm thinkin the same thing Sean.
Definitely a short box will be all that it could take for the back.

Kinda looks like some more lift is needed to level op the front end.

i know whats wrong with it, its the dodge rims, or maybe its the price. but by the way it looks it looks like a cab and chassis trk. why else would it have all those springs, also look at the rear tank. i almost bet 100 bucks its an old cab and chassis trk that someone put a crew cab on, or its a 80-86 frame. looking at the frame it looks like a newer frame cause of the way the rear is. also the frt springs are neg arched, didnt they only put neg. arched springs on the 80 and up trks?

That gives me a great idea looking for a 78 or 79 bronco for 6.9 install that would be sweet.

Before 1980, the norm for ford crew cabs was to have a short box. From what I could tell they were basically all F350s with D60 front ends if 4wd. Sweet trucks to look at, but unbelievably tough when worked hard.

I've seen an old 1978 crewcab bush truck that was in service till about 2004 before they finally flogged it. That was what they used when the "superduties" were broke down, so it was use almost constantly. D70 rear, D60 front, 4.9L engine and T18 tranny, you can't kill it even if you wanted to.

I did see ONE 1978-ish ford with a crew cab and 8F box, but I think that may have been a back yard custom job (it was nice though).

looks like the back of the frame was chopped off. it is nice looking but looks like it would need a decent bit more work to level it up and make it look right.

in the years i have been putting power steering on the old ford 4x4's(1967-1977) ive seen two factory original f350 4x4's with 8 food boxes---the 1967 was the original owner----the 1973 was fairly loaded--the 67 was a 6 with a straight stick, and nothing else----and it was all original right to the paint!!!!!!!!!!!! except he did rebuild the engine---

looks like when they changed the servers over, the guest portal got taken out. just create a account and you can get in.
just for your info, it's also kinda like the fallback gathering place when OB goes down. It's been around for years, we don't use it much other than coordinating get-togehters and a contact place. try it....you'll like it;Sweet
(unlike your GNX snafu, you don't need to post pics this time:eek::rotflmao:rotflmao:rotflmao)
