Ok so I'm kinda in the middle of this project helping a friend out but he always helps me anytime I need it. Not sure if the mouns are gonna match up but gonna have to make it work cause we jumped in with both feet:sly. If anyone has any input let me know. Also we're gonna put the gp's on a push button Im definately gonna need some insight on that:dunno. Thanks in advance.

then add one 10 gauge per gp to the other large terminal

How long should we burn em? I always had a stock gp control but I would think about 30 seconds.

8-12 seconds depending on how cold it is. 30 seconds and they will be toast.
Also if you are running 12 volt to them it might be even less as the factory plugs are 6v.

It was pretty clean but he always wanted a diesel and the 82 he got it nearly free the guy said the engine was gone when we got it home we put a starter on it and blead the injectors and it cranked and purred like a kitten so now he can have the best of both worlds also goin on 14.00 r 20s soon

Now I'm drooling! My first truck was a '77 F250, I still want to drive it again, just not feed the 460!

Did you use the '82 chassis in order to gain 4wd? Seems like an engine/trans/tcase swap into the '76 would have been easier. Looks awesome any way its put together. 70's body style still is my favorite.

Looks like they were both 4x4 in the pics. The body swap is what I would leaned toward also, later model drive train and chassis parts are easier to get then 70's stuff. Only down side may be you now have a TTB rather then a straight axle.

My thoughts, exactly! That may have the closed knuckle drum brake front end, TTB may be the lesser of those two evils. 76's divorced t-case isn't all bad, though. Makes a RTO610 an easy swap.

I believe getting rid of the front drums on my '74 f100 4x4 was the first significant swap/upgrade I did to a vehicle. Drums do suck, all the way around.
