Hey I’m trying to dial in my FIPL sensor on my 7.3idi it’s currently at 1.89v at idle and 3.9 at WOT I’ve still got pretty hard shifting from 1-2 and a little 2-3 any ideas? I’ve got a small knick in the middle wire which exposed some copper but doesn’t seem to effect voltage as I wiggle it around so I don’t believe that’s the issue but let me know if I’m wrong. I’ve been told in may have to adjust the injection pump but before I do that figured I’d ask here

You’ve confirmed it’s nothing to do with the PSOM system? (speed sensor, PSOM module, ABS module) seems like the go-to for hard shift issues. I had it on my powerstroke I sold and now my IDI i just got. This time it ended up bad plug for speed sensor.

I don’t think injection pump timing would create hard shifts.

I have not. I’m reading that I should look into the tach sensor. Tach on the dash seems to operate fine which makes me think that is not it but apparently you can ohm them out to test if they’re working correctly. Pretty simple test so I’ll give it a try but I’ll also look into PSOM.

I’m not sure but would definitely fix the wire sheathing issue first if it were me - as a low hanging fruit kind of thing.
