Do to conversations with other folks including South Bend and the tech article, I was under the impression that the 6.9 flywheel, while not ideal would fit the 7.3.

The '94 7.3 turbo that is going in my '86 T-19 equipped ride disproved that.

Is there a flywheel that will work with the separate bell housing equipped T-19
and at a later date, with the ZF-5?

And using the same clutch with different discs?

why wont it fit, there is a spacer on some of the auto cranks that needs to be removed.

I ran a 6.9 flywheel on a 7.3 in my '85 for nearly 100k before I sold the truck. The only thing that will keep it from fitting is the automatic spacer.

Whoa! Spacer? O boy, feeling a little amateur here. Looking right at it with a couple other
guys and still don't see the parting line........but that HAS to be it. Thanks all !

It should just bolt right up. All IDI's use the same crank, 6.9 up to turbo 7.3 IDI. If it is an IDI flywheel, it should work.

You have a PM as well.;Sweet

That parting line can "dissappear". I had to tap mine with a hammer before I could easily see it.
