Time to make a road trip down here and I’ll set you up with whatever you need
Another Texas idi I see! I’m north of San Antonio, let me know if you need any misc parts, I stockpile these trucks.
Something that hasn’t been mentioned is the headlights. The stock lights are pretty lame, and doing the headlight relay mod makes them perform the way the should and keeps your headlight switch from melting/burning up. Bronco graveyard sells a really nice kit that’s worth every penny.
Hey nostrokes. Ypu should try to make it. I know that I sure am going to try hard to make it.
Thank You SirYes, the vacuum pump and alternator should come off for this. It's the only way to make sure that the sealing surface is clean when you install the new thermostat. I think you can't even see the other bolt with the alternator installed.
When I got mine I thought I needed every thing Glow plugs, IP, injectors, new engine. I posted my problems and got a lot of good advice. My truck smoked white a lot on startup and bellowed a tons of black smoke on acceleration. Now after following the advice of top notch oil burner members my truck starts like a champ and get a small puff of black smoke on heavy pedal mashes. ZD9 Motor Craft Glow plug only, unless you want the dreaded white smoke on start up. Injector, Conestoga Diesel Injection, proven high Quality parts, Best Bang for your buck. I still read every topic that comes up because these truck need all the help we can give them for a long and successful life. Enjoy your new truck, and always post problems you can not figure out because 1000 heads are better than one. Good Luck
