7.3 Factory Turbo/Flywheel

Have discovered the hard way that the 6.9 flywheel is not balanced for the 7.3
factory turbo engine.

Does anyone have part #ers for a single mass flywheel from Ford, IH, or south
bend.

Will the Luk set up work with a clutch disc that fits the 'ole T-19?

Are you sure the flywheels are any different? Its transmission specific IIRC. Are the part #s any different? Also wonder if you could get the flywheel rebalanced for the factory turbo motor. I imagine a new wheel isn't going to be cheap. Or you could try and find a used factory turbo flywheel from here or in the boneyard. I think a new one with no core will eat you up.

Yes, the flywheels are different. The turbo motor w/it's larger wrist pin apparently makes it externally balanced. LuK's catalog agrees with a different catalog # on the factory turbo.
I would try the modded flywheel only if someone knew a shop that was doing that.

I remember that the turbo motors got a HD balancer I guess it makes senes that the flywheel is different too. I have an auto so I cant say for sure.
