I sure don't mind I've liked them ol detroits too, especially an old 2 stroke love those :) I wouldn't mind having a 6.5 powered 66 C10!
I have worked on 2 stroke detroits most my life. I love the sound and the simplicity of them. A 6.5 66 would be awesome.

Here are some pics of parts and what I have done. Rebuilt starter, replaced main terminal stud also changed the brush holder and solenoid. I got core support repainted and holes cut for intercooler hoses. I finish the fuel lines, pressure and return. I got the power steering gear in, had to modify frame a little. There will be more pics coming.

Got some work done. I finally got the Fluid Damper and installed it. Crank pulley is installed so is the fan and the spacer. My buddy machined this spacer to my specs to get the fan were I wanted it. The spacer also adapts due to the wp hub being 3/4's and the fan pilot is 5/8's he made it very precise. I got the belt ran finally so that wraps up the front of the engine. I mounted the oil fill with new grommet in timing cover. I also welded a v band flange to the top intake and installed it. I have the ceramic coating for the exhaust manifolds I still have to finish them. I also installed the timing tab. I also wrapped up the steering.
