I wonder if the owner was watching the factory dash gauge to gat this low oil pressure asomption.... Might be a deal..

With the yellow numbers on the drivers side valve cover and the green paint on the water pump I'm kinda thinking this engine is a wrecking yeard sell off. And not what the seller "claims" it to be....

I agree. By the looks of the valve cover, it was probably rolled around some, too. Like a soccer ball.

standard wrecker pallet...could be he picked up a wrecker replacement and re-used the pallet...hard to say...

He never said it was original to his truck, maybe he had used a junker in it before. Thats what happened in my case. Went looking for the valve cover sticker and found the numbers

Either way it looks like hell and probably has a ton of miles on it

Commander... The seller clearly states this engine came out of his truck. Yes, it still could have been a wrecker junker with many miles on it but... This enfine was in his rig and now its out.. I still say this is a wrecking yeard engine from somewhere. Nobody removes an engine doing that much damage to the fan and nothing else. This is why I felt it was not from the truck like he said because of the fan damage and the paint with marking. I also have never seen a 6.9 with the drivers side valve cover with the 6.9 marking on it either... Maybe this engine was rebuilt once or twice before...

If it had low oil pressure why didn he check it with a good mechanical guage and if it was low then why didnt he remove the oil pan after pullng the engine and check the main and rod bearings, these questions may never get answered .
