4l60e transmission interchange???

Hey all, I have a 1995 GMC k1500 4x4 5.7, Reverse went out on the tranny and I found a 4l60e out of a 94 with low miles and a low price will this swap right in, What do I need to make it work? I have been looking online and everyone says that the 95 has a pmw solinoid to control tc lockup, and that the 94 does not, Can someone educate me on this, I need my truck back up and running, Thanks so much

'93 and up 4L60e should be the same. I just checked the interchange and there was no mention that there was any differences.

Sounds like the same situation my mom has with her 96 Jimmy, I was debating whether to tear into it and see what's up or just replace with another tranny. I guess I'm still debating.
