Ordered them off ebay tonight with a locker. I contemplated buying a spool, but actually paid less for the locker than the spool.

Now I just need an overdrive.

I think 3:73's are the ideal gear choice for these IDI's Yer gonna really notice a change in accelleration over your 3:08's !

The Ex has 3.73's and it pulls like a freight train. I'm looking forward to pulling the TT above 55 mph.

You are gonna love the 3:73's
Mine at 65mph, in fourth, pulls like a mother. :D
I'm running them with 35" tires and have heard
good things as well from the guys with 33's too. ;Sweet

I bet you really want an OD. When I had the 4.10s I'd be at 3000 RPM at 68mph, now with the 3.55s I think I'm under 3000 till around 75mph. Are you doing a T19 swap, keeping the C6 or looking for an OD transmission of some kind...I guess are looking for a factory OD or something like a GV or similar?

my 93 is just shy of 2000rpm @70 w/ 3:73s. It sure doesn't like hills w/ that gearing though.

Don't forget if you put bigger tires on you are essentially lowering your gear ratio and may want to consider a 4:10

Well 3.73s with an E4OD is totally different from 3.73 and C6. My truck will still go right up hills without slowing down much with the C6 and 3.55s as long as I'm empty or lightly loaded. If I have a big load of firewood or the boat and a big hill, well then I start to miss the 4.10s a little, but the turbo should take care of that, and with Barney's hotrod IDI he probably wouldn't have any more trouble with hills than a stock or lightly modded PSD, in any case it'll be a HUGE improvement over the 3.08s in all areas except empty highway fuel economy.
