22MPG with my truck this past weekend!!!

My 1995 F250 ext cab 2WD PS diesel got an average pf 22 MPG over 660 miles. The tires were at their maximum pressures, fresh Rotella T oil change before I left and drove between 75-80 MPH the entire time putting my engine RPMS between 2100-2300RPM. The truck had 3 people in it and about 40 lbs of luggage.

I was VERY impressed! Not too shabby for 294K on the clock!!

Great numbers! 22 is as high as I've seen posted in forums. Having 2WD helps you. I've seen as good as 20+ which with 4WD and the E4OD ain't too shabby either.

yes very good numbers, the best i ever seen was 21 goinn 50 to 55 mph. it was new then, i have 35 tires now and with my superchips programer i got 18 mpg last weekend , ding 60 to 65mph. going to put the 265s on , towing season is right around the corner.

sadly no i dont. 97 reg cab 350 4x4 auto 4.10 gears and 35's

It makes my 76 look like a "fuel efficent" vehicle!!!

Any ideas for the such horrible mileage?
