I see we are now down to justin

You also have the standyne rebuilders list on their website.
You guys post actual experience within the year of quality resources for those in need!?

Lets not regurgitate wes, cdd last seen in 2021,mel conestoga was sold.
Type4 R.I.P.
I know at least 5 guys who bought from each one listed that will either sing their praises, or wish them
Via condious, or argue with me how awesome 1 was/is/could be.

I got lucky and got inside information from Russ right before his passing and his guy quit selling.
He gave me 1 name...

@snicklas
If this takes off in a good way, can I come back and ask for a stickie?

Mel, think his name here was "Agnem". He sold the Business, think his family is running the business? Moose Diesel was the name of his business....I looked it up for ya.

CDD may not be on the Forum, but rebuilds IP`s far as I know.

Been to Justin`s shop, he does his Pumps and Injectors in house.

CDD still builds pumps. They have been great to deal with for me. I know some guys have had a hard time getting ahold of them, but I think it has gotten better since he has some help now and its not just him.
I believe @Old Goat is right in that Mels family still runs his shop. I think they just moved and changed the name a few years back.

I think Mel was “Agnew” on the forums.

CCD is still up and running afaik, I was in contact with Wes a few months ago. I just texted him this morning about some pump stuff, have not heard back yet.

Twisted Steel Performance does alot with 6.2/6.5, not sure about pumps though. I bought some hi-po valvesprings off him a couple years ago, great service.
Purrformance Products in Ohio used to do some HP pumps for GM, I am not sure about Ford, I know the guy had a 6.2 he pulled with or raced, but that was years ago.

A guy “6.2turbo” has done some pretty wild stuff also, although more DIY like me, i think he even tried out his own .500 plungers, homemade girdles, stuff like that.

You want rebuild or HP? Columbus Diesel Supply could do a stock one still i think.

Mark Massey used to work at CDS, i worked there with him 25 years ago, he put them on the map. He is a genuis with pumps can be reached at Eastern Ohio Diesel Performance, The Pump Doctor. 740-877-9000.
I dont know if he fools with these pumps anymore though..he made such a good name for himself way back with custom billet 13mm p-pumps.

I'll stand by moose for their pumps, same with Justin at R&D as I've used both of theirs. This is after the sale of Moose.

So far Ive used a stock pump from moose with good results.

I have used a set of stage 1 injectors and a 90cc pump from Justin. Had an issue with the injectors at first, but later found out that both Justin and Russ at the time had received a bad batch of nozzles, as they used the same vendor.

I had used two sets of injectors from Russ, first set went with the Moose pump, so far so good, the second set went with the 90cc and failed due to said bad batch of nozzles.

I have heard through the grapevine that, at least in the early days, that Wes was doing some hokey stuff with worn out pumps to "make" big pumps, but from what Ive seen from people here and on the Facebook group, is that the quality of parts has gone way up. I've purchased a few of his other stuff he offers and have been happy with them.

As for Wes and Justin not being on the forums, I've heard it from both of them over the phone that they don't get on here due to past drama. Don't blame them frankly, they have businesses to run.

I guess I had one of those too LOL.

I did have CDD rebuild my pump with the 110 specs. No issues with them. But it does seem like they re-sell a lot of stuff at a higher price as their own. But it’s not bad if you don’t mind paying extra and just want a one stop shop for good IDI parts if you don’t want to do the research.

I know that this isnt in the spirit of this thread, but have to remember that these pumps have been being rebuilt well, buy real diesel/pump shops all over the country for 40+ years. It wast until recently that nobody could build one except for the select few.

Any of the diesel/pump shops that have been around for ever will know what they are doing with these, and will make things right when they are not. Seen plenty of threads here of pumps and injectors from the select few that were not right. If you want hotrod stuff though, that comes down to only a few.

I can back up that statement, but when it comes to older pumps, not even my local builder likes messing with them too much since the old talent retired.
Had a pump off of a big cam 3 that needed rebuilt. They literally commissioned the guy to come back and do it.

Not to discredit local builders, just stating my experience.

spoke with a local ip and injector rebuilder in Seattle about getting injectors rebuilt for a small late ‘70s volvo diesel. They said “yeah sure we do it all” which is nice but am skeptical. Went another route for that project so no comment on results. Something like this I would prefer to stick with a reputable re/builder. Especially with lots of discontinued parts etc. haven’t needed to cross this bridge yet for the idi but it’s an elephant in the room imo.
