Just bypassing the controller with a pushbutton right?
If its push button it should be battery voltage from the get go. The relay doesn't adjust voltage. I didn't think the controller could either since it just toggles the relay itself unless its only partially energizing the relay somehow which sounds bad...![]()
The glow plugs draw lots of amps at first then decrease as they get hot, that is why the voltage drop at first, pushbutton or controller/ relay, doesnt matter.
Leaky return lines, weak starter, batteries or alt, battery cables in good cond? Any one of these issues you may get away with for a while. When they compound, its a nightmare
