Power door lock actuator, remove n replace help

My goof. I forgot the 1/4" X 3/4". And the nut does NOT hit the jamb- if you look, there is still about a quarter inch of clearance.

Power door lock actuator, remove n replace help

I replaced two on my C.C.. I epoxed a 3/4" bolt to the accuator and put nut on outside. Do not tighten nut until trying the lock first as the unit needs to align itself first, then tighten the nut. The short bolt is a little tricky to install, just takes going slow.

Question on E40D torque converter is locking, and unlocking

My trans was doing same thing. Any connection- cruise control, brake switch, bad bulb, throttle position switch are all possible candidates. Cruise control drops T.C. out when braking. I found that a brake wire was shorting out when I was putting body lift and raised bed to install lift donuts.

flashing overdrive light and harsh shift

If you haven't found the problem, check brake system. It can be as simple as the brake switch to a bad ground somewhere. Also any where in cruise-control system, as it locks and unlocks t/c. If you can't find problem- swap to a ZF5, like I did.

So 205 degrees is bad for my E4OD?

I had simular problem. The shop by-passed the trans and problem was solved. I ran large cooler in front and no more problem when pulling my 32' 5th wheel.

    Best oil pump?

My machinist told a simular story about new pump spinning on shaft. It wasted the rebuilt engine by the time it was shut down. I think I will stick with the old one and just pop the plate and check for wear. I plan on using my 7.3 heads with the 6.9 studs. Anybody see any problems, like maybe...

    6.9 build crossroads advice

Am I understanding correctly, that I can use the 7.3 heads and also use the 6.9 studs? There should not be any problems with the slight difference in diameter ? If that will work, it will save me the cost of rebuiding the 6.9 heads.

    6.9 build crossroads advice

That is my concern. The machinist said that he was leary about opening them up to the 1/2. Any pros and cons on this? Also can the 7.3 heads be used with the 7/16th studs. Are the 7.3 heads any better? Thanks for input.

    6.9 build crossroads advice

:dunno My 6.9 block is being bored 30 over with the rest of work. My biggest question is about 6.9 or 7.3 heads? I have a set of 1989 ,7.3 already rebuilt that I was going to use with ARP studs, however through (miscommunication or? ) I was given info on studs on ebay. These turned out to be...
