Using FedEx's webpage, it looks like around $10.50. To get a better idea, go to the auction page and enter in your zipcode. It'll give you your shipping cost, so you can figure total price and if it's worth bidding/buying. My .02..... Thanks for the interest!

    Fuel filters on ebay

I've put these on ebay. The primary filters are large and have a water separator and drain. I used an aftermarket filter head and mount them between each fuel tank and my facet pump. Primary filters with water separator and drain...

    Somebody shoot me!

Yup, 37 vehicles in 40 years of marriage, some of them seriously memorable. Marty has been VERY patient. And understanding. On our wedding night, she looked lovingly into my eyes and said, "Sweetheart, daddy taught us girls to do two things really well. Shoot pool and shoot...

    Somebody shoot me!

You're right, ARP studs don't stretch. Several years ago, the accepted procedure for installing the studs was to install the heads and torque the nuts down in sequence, loosen them, then retorque. This procedure was repeated three to five times, depending on your upper body strength, your...

quick question kinda important about oil

No damage. For short term use, to get you to the store tonight, this'll work. Keep in mind that semi-syn oil is a mixture of conventional oil and synthetic oil, so all you're doing is changing the percentage of synthetic oil to conventional oil. Gas engine oil doesn't have the additive pack...

    6.9 keeps shutting down

Is this fuel not getting to the injection pump, or fuel not getting form the pump to the injectors? To determine this, the next time it quits on you, pop the hood and look for the schraeder valve on the secondary filter head. That's the filter mount that bolts to the passenger-side cylinder...

Plastic pilot bearing?? Are you kidding me??

That 'plastic' is actually Kevlar. It's supposed to be very effective as a pilot bearing material. I installed one with my new clutch. Didn't notice anything better or worse. It does the job.

During the rebuild last year, I lost the two locating dowel pins that line up the bellhousing to the back of the block. Anybody have two of these for sale?

    DO NOT BUY!!!!!

Thanks Gary. That'll save some potential heartbreak! I'm too old to enjoy surprises and finding out I've got the wrong part in the middle of a repair is a REAL surprise.

seel clutch MC and steel cluthc line?

Greg - I purchased a Wagner for my 85 from RA. The picture showed a metal body master cylinder and that's what I wanted. When it showed up, the body was black plastic - totally different from the picture. The MC I was replacing was an Exedy and it was metal, so I re-ordered an Exedy master...

New brake rotors too large (thick) ?

Thanks for the reminder! My break-in procedure is pretty close to what is described: 1. 10 medium-speed stops (35 - 40mph) with moderate even pedal pressure. 2. Drive for 15 - 30 minutes to cool down the rotors before stopping the vehicle. I usually do the break-in on a long road out...

New brake rotors too large (thick) ?

Speaking of cheap Chinese parts..... Yesterday, I received my Rock Auto order for pads (PGD668C) and rotors (96154R) for one of our cars. Both boxes are stamped Raybestos Professional Grade. Both are stamped "Made in China".  Finding non-Chinese aftermarket parts is...

    Kicking myself in the a$$

Has your shop run the engine to operating temp and then done their checks? This might be an issue that only shows up when everything is hot and expanded, or immediately after shut down. Like Gary stated, cylinder pressure and oil pressure all drop to 0 when the motor stops. This might be when...

Turbo seals leaking oil, just want confirmation

Tell the folks that the o-ring is for automotive applications - it needs to handle hot engine oil. "Regular" o-rings that I see at the hardware store/Tractor Supply/Atwood's/Whatever are usually designed for home use (plumbing). They're not gonna last. 160 degree hot water is NOT 240 degree...
