    turning up the pump

    Will I be wasting my time by turning up the injector pump because I believe it has worn down to where it no longer is pumping any diesel, or when a pump reaches that point, does it need to be replaced? 92 7.3 idi stanadyne thanks

    92 7.3 hard start and no start

    batteries are good, last time it ran, ran good and started good after warm. has high torque starter. about 50k mi on current ip. when it does start cold it sounds like its just barely running, and sometimes just dies. is this a fuel pressure issue or ip going out? thanks for help

    reluctant to put my new wellman 0084's in

    I've read all the posts on them I could find but realized I had the 0084's instead of the "unmeltable" 0088's. I do have a dash momentary toggle on my 92 7.3. Maybe I should have gotten the 0088's. Any thoughts?

    fuel level gauge stuck!!

    alarm won't turn off

    Can't get alarm to turn off. Put fresh battery in key chain control but wont activate or deactivate alarm. Could just disconnect siren but it controls ignition. What to do from here? thanks Fred

    cant figure this one out

    92 navistar 7.3 converted to electric fuel pumps----hard hard start. put the clear line on just before the main filter to watch for bubbles--none being pumped up but when turned off big one appears as if draining back down in to tank. Does that mean air leak on the return lines? Or somewhere...

    Please explain how air in the return line can affect the running of the engine. Not trying to be arguemenative but really need to understand this. My 7.3 is starting hard and this may be the problem according to all the posts but just cant get a grip on it. thanks

    hard start

    must be the reason for hard cold start being the temp disconnect of all things electrical while starter is cranking, and if you have electric fuel pump, then no fuel!! is there a way to keep the fuel pump pumping while starting? maybe run a conection from the starter solenoid to the fuel pump?

    In a 7.3 idi, what do you guys recommend for a sticky lifter? Anyone ever have any luck with about a pint of tranny juice in the engine oil?

    OD light flashing again

    flashes until truck starts to move then stops flashing, what could that be? seems to only flash when first started and after backing up. after warmed up shifts just fine except mushy going into final.
