Can't get alarm to turn off. Put fresh battery in key chain control but wont activate or deactivate alarm. Could just disconnect siren but it controls ignition. What to do from here?
thanks

I do not think any trucks came factory with alarms so nobody here is going to have any more knowledge than anybody else about your alarm system. What I would do- tear the junk out and find out where it interrupts the ignition and reconnect. Should not be too difficult to locate, you just need to be patient and follow the wires.

If you can figure out what brand the alarm is, you could probably go on the net and find an installation manual for it and just follow the steps in reverse so that you make sure and get the ignition interupt circuit completely removed. It shouldn't be very difficult to find and remove the alarm because there isn't that much wiring on these old trucks, but the installation instructions for the alarm system would surely help.

My 94 has some sort of alarm from factory. Once out of ever 10 times I unlock my truck from the pass door the horn starts honking on and off until I turn the key in the driver door and it goes off. No signs of aftermarket alarm in the truck, its the factory connectors behind the lock cylinders.

That sounds like your keyless entry acting up.
