a holley red should pump at 7psi with no load. that much pressure should squirt a few feet away from the pump, correct? i have the pump out and i'm trying to see if it has enough pressure, but it only flows about 6" away from the pump when i power it. that doesn't seem like enough pressure to...
i keep reading about turning up the fuel in your idi to improve power. i understand it will increase egt's and i would need a pyro to monitor that. other than egt's, are there other dangers and exactly what screw adjustments need to be made to do this?

i'm trying to remove the shifter rod on the engine side of my column but i don't want to damage anything in the process. is there a trick to it or is it just a pain to get off?
i friend is about to junk an '89 f-450 with a gasser 460 and a 5-spd (not zf-5). would that tranny fit on the '89 7.3? i know it's not the preferable zf-5, but my e4od is going downhill and i really don't want an automatic again.
i'm going to install a 3" body lift this weekend and i only see one potential problem. would i need to do any modifications to the shift linkage? i have an automatic (column shifter) and it looks like the linkage near the firewall will come up short if the cab is raised 3".
i seem to have a leak in the top of my fuel filter housing/water seperator. it looks like it's coming out of the switch or sender that goes into the top. can anyone tell me what that switch is? do i have to change the housing? if i need to change the housing, is ford the best place to get a...
i've seen info about some sort of pressure valve or release valve having to do with oil pressure. unfortunately, i'm having no luck finding it... can someone point me in the right direction or explain to me what/where it is?
my problem: my oil pressure guage reads low constantly, just above...
i have an '89 f-250 (5.8L/auto). it will idle fine but when i drive down the road it bogg's pretty bad when it gets to about 2k rpm. also, i can't seem to get a reading off the computer when i put a scanner on it.
i'm currently looking at the fuel pump(s) as the culprit.
any ideas or...
so, i'm getting tired of the e4od in my truck... it just shifts "sloppy". i would like a decent manual tranny but i'm not sure which is the best for my application. i would like the granny gear for pulling but i'm not always pulling that much weight so i need to have something that's acceptable...
i assume this would be the right place to post this.
my stereo sucks and i would like a cd player. however, the truck is very stiff and i usually tell people to bring a chiropractor with them when they ride in it (rides great with loads, though). i was thinking the marine units but i don't...
i understand that converting my truck to 4wd is alot of work, but i have a couple of questions anyway.
i found an 89 bronco 150 4wd with a straight 6 and a 5 spd for peanuts and i was wondering if the parts would work for my conversion.
my thoughts are: the 150 front and rear end would not...
i would like to put a steel flatbed on my '89 f-250. does anyone have plans for one? i found a place called "tuf industries" that sells plans, but i don't know who they are or how there product is in the end.
thanks,
ken
ok, my neighbor has an '84 f-350 dually (manual tranny) and it hasn't ran in quite awhile. last time he tried to start it he shot a little bit of ether in it and then cranked it... it cranked for a second and then made a "metallic thump" and hasn't fired since. it currently has all new gp's...
i know i've seen a table for identifying ford rear differentials but i can't seem to locate it again. can anyone point me in the reight direction?
thanks
