I just fired her up after charging battery's I had to use the smallest squirt of starring fluid I could ( I suspect glow plugs) and not to worry I stood about three feet away and did a half second burst.     Tonight's progress , tested injectors, new o rings . Will the nitrile ones work? If not what should I get??. Put the motor in and hood back on. Tomaro going to start hooking things up like exshuast wiring harness fuel lines , if I get far enuff I'll bleed the injectors and maybe start her up

    So I'm a littel curious about supercharging 6.9 or 7.3s, has anyone done it ? What are the pros and cons, Iv seen alot of turbo setups but nothin really with supercharging. Would the power band be more level with a supercharger than a turbo? Thanks! ( the pic is mine)

    We'll I did not get to the injectors today, but I did bolt on the alternator . Changing the pulleys was a bit harder than I thought lol also installed the bullet style glow plugs and temp fixed my power steering. After the injectors I'll be ready to put her in( the pic is before I started on...

    So I broke the plastic nipple off my power steering pump, went to the junkyard (msi) and they wanted 40$ for me too pull. Said alright and headed out , found only two in usable condition and one had J&B weld on it from the same deal and the other I broke trying to get a supper old hose off...

    So what about the fuel restriction sensor? I think I can splice the fuel heater in too the wire in the pic , assuming that's the correct one? Ya I measured both brackets should bolt on. And also thank you guys for all the help so far!!

    Ok I think I know what the fuel heater is . I don't have to filter head for the 7.3 so what can I do ? I just put the flywheel on with rtv thank you for the torque spec! And I noticed the 7.3 alternator has a plug to it that my 6.9 one dose not have , I have the mount, can I put the 7.3 one on...

    Also I had two leads that I didn't find a match for when I installed the 7.3 92 harness on my 84 6.9, they branched off near the three that goto the injection pump

    I installed that 7.3 wiring harness on the 6.9 , can I switch the glow plugs to bullets and be good to go? I have both fly wheels and just removed the Manuel one can I use the thread locker in the pic? Should I torque the fly wheel and if so to how many pounds? I was going to impact it on in...

    Almost forgot , the fly wheel looks to be different on the 6.9 manual , can I just bolt the auto 7.3 fly wheel on???
