I had a converision clutch installed in my 1993 f350 7.3 idi and the shop said they changed the fluid at the same time.It now sounds like the trans wants to come out and sit next to me.Hard to hear the radio.
Any thoughts?
I just had a conversion clutch installed in my 1993 f350 7.3 idi.My clutch release is on the floor.It's very hard to shift.Any ideas on how to fix this?
Also the trans has become very noisy.The shop changed the fluid while they where there.

I just spent 15 days trying to remove the torx bolt from the idler.I ended up removing the radiator.I tried a 3/8 impact to remove the bolt.It just rattled.I put a 1/2 impact and stripped the bolt.I removed a part of the pulley by using a 3in cutoff wheel.I tried vise grips with a cheater.nope.I...
I gave up and removed the radiator to get some room to remove the idler.Lots of room now.An Impact driver would not remove the bolt on the idler.Big hammer and chisel.I broke the pedestal off the cover.Now I have to remove the cover to have the pedestal miged back on.They want 250.00 for a used...
Well after many hours of trying to remove the idler bolt,I broke the cover.Would somebody tell me how and what I have to do to replace it?

I was throwing a belt every two weeks.I bought a new tenisioner.I tried to remover the tenisioner.The idler has to be removed first.I have tried to remove the torx bolt for two days.I'm now with out a ride.Sure could use some help.

In the morning when I leave for work my truck will die.It will start right up.It hasn't happened for a couple of weeks.This morning when I shift,the motor will shudder.It idles fine and runs good except when I let off to shift.
Looking for some help before it strands me.

Ok I got a day off.I released the tension on the belt so I could check the pulleys.The idler is jamup jelly tight.The tensioner is sloppy.The belt is 25% off the pulley.I'm going to replace the tensioner.Any tricks to replacing it?

I am losing water/coolant.I can find out where it's going.This is my first IDI.I did replace the cap.I wanted a factor Ford but they where out.I went to the local parts store and bought a 13lb murry.

My amp gauge doesn't move until the rpms get to 2000.I laid down 55.00 for a new belt.I found rubber build up in the alt pulley.After cleaning up the pulley,I installed the belt.Nothing changed.I'm going to put a dvom on the truck this weekend but was hoping somebody else has gone though this...
I new to the 7.3 idi .I'm reading about fuel additive and coolant additive.Would someone please tell me what namebrand additives I should use?
