Well, I've made a hard decision and I am selling my truck. I love the truck but i need a better daily driver and don't need anything quite so massive. So, i wanted to offer it to everyone here first, but I do have a guy interested in it locally. I've been doing my best to fix it as I can...
the LD3 looks good. I'll think about leaving the exhaust ending at the normal location. that kit would be much easier to install than anything else that I can think of doing so i'm thinking about it. Thanks
wow duplicate post! :) I haven't washed my truck in over a year, but thats because it washes the paint right off. Someday when i have a nice wheel the truck would probably have a nice paint job and i would wash it more often, so i don't mind that so much.
ok, good ideas, thanks. So going with 4" would be good? and someone makes an adapter to go from the 2.5" down pipe to the 4" pipe? My last thought was to end the system in front of the right rear tire. any thoughts? i saw it once and it looked pretty cool.
Hey, I'm going to be working on my exhaust. I've got an exhaust leak and I've wanted to upgrade anyways. I'm looking to do around a 3 or 4 inch pipe with a Magnaflow muffler. I don't have a turbo now but hopefully someday I will. Is there a kit that anybody recommends? I was thinking about...
I put the custombatterycables.com cables on my truck last year and they are awesome. On my truck it took a little maneuvering of the cable to get it to line up just right but once i got them on I was glad I bought them. Have him include the terminal covers as well, its not that much more and...
When i installed this mod I tried to make some adapters to connect to the metal pipe going into the fuel filter. But, it was leaking real bad so I hacked it off and just attached the rubber hose directly to the line. I can get you part numbers for the relay if you want.
I just got those this winter and they are great. It fixed my starting problems cause my old clamps wouldn't clamp. When installing the cables it's alittle akward and they seam to not fit quite right but you just gotta pull on em a bit to get them set correctly. The link is...
i don't know much about transmissions so i have a few questions.
1. what is double clutching?
2. where are the throw out bearings? my clutch is getting stiff again.
thanks
Speaking of Mexico, if we are running ULSD, and accoring to stickers at pumps LSD will damage your 07 diesel, how is an 07 supposed to drive into Mexico? Or is that just a bunch of bull that LSD will damage an 07?
I got my cables, and installed the positive one. My truck is running again. I'm going to get the negative cables on once it warms up a bit more. plus, i need to do some wiring adjustments to connect some small wires to the negative cables.
but, i am very happy with the cables from custom...
Well, i may start looking at the wiring that dsblack mentioned. I bought this autozone starter and its got the lifetime waranty. where and how should the motor be grounded to the batteries. I'm not sure if the ground is good or not.
And Jred, i havn't fixed the fuel tank yet, but seeing...
Well, this morning my truck didn't start again. I tried to re-clamp and adjust the battery clamps because that seemed to fix it last time, but no go this time. I think its the starter solenoid that just goes "click." would it be a bad starter motor or what? the previous start before coming...
yea, thanks. i was reading his site and he uses coper ends that are coated in tin. sounds like i'm going to buy from him. thanks again for the reference everyone.
thanks for the information. can somebody upload some pics of the cables Custom Battery Cables makes? it sounds good. i'll go measure things and make sure they will fit without asking him to change a bit.
Hey, i'm tired of my bad cable clamps and am going to buy a new cable. the clamp in the middle of the red cable can't be adjusted, so every now and then my truck won't start because of the clamps.
so, where should i look to get new cables?
hey thanks for the help, this will probably wait for a while untill i'm able to remove the bed. would a sending unit that is going out incorrectly measure my rear tank. the gauge says half a tank for 50 miles but i'm pretty sure I havn't used that much fuel. when i filled it up it was on E...
i use one of the winter screens sometimes to block airflow. it has 2 inlet holes and works pretty well. Anyways, it seems to take forever for my truck to get warm, usualy i'm where i need to be by the time the needle starts moving.
sorry, i thought i updated yesterday. i filled up the rear tank and its my front sending unit that is out. the rear seems to be working fine. I think I'll go find some permatex and try that out because I'm pretty sure I'm getting seepage through the threads on the fitting. anyways, I'm...
Mine fuel gauge isn't working i don't think. I just filled my front tank. For starters, my gauge said it was low and i only put 10 gallons in, when normally i put 12-14 (i know its supposed to be an 18 gallon tank). I left my rear empty. I'm going to fill my rear tomorrow maybe to see if it...
