    How tall of tire can I fit without a lift?

    One of my friends had a bone stock 87 F-250 6.9, and he managed to stuff 37 inch millatary tires under it, only had rubbing at full luck, and he was using plane jane steel 16.5's. And he regulary had the bed full of wood for his house.

    Whats the problem with the blocks, springs, and steering? This is strictly a mud truck, i doubt it will ever see 20 mph or leave second gear. Sure if it was gunna be drivin on the road i woulda went and did it the proper way, but since im never gunna register it, i think itll work fine.

    i just picked up a pure stock 87 f-250 regular cab with a 6.9 and 4sp, not a thing done to the suspension or body and it has 37" millitary tires on it, only rubs the spring on full turn. also had a F-150 with 4"lift with 38.5/15/r15 ground hawgs with no problem. the 87 is getting a 4 inch block...

    I have a 95 F-250 that i just recently bought and the damn thing dont want to run.:mad: Glow plugs are working fine, cranks with no problem. We can get it started on either, you have to hold it at about 1500 rpms for a minute or two, then when you let it idle it runs so rough it shakes the truck...
