    Alternator brand options.

Getting harder to find.. but you maybe able to find an alternator and starter rebuild shop (usually some ol guy working in a small grungy shop). I've had better luck with old school rebuild shops than buying "rebuilds" at the big box stores.

    Fleetguard Red Coolant

I've been using Chevron Delo Fleet ELC coolant for six years now and have been very happy with it. FWIW I have an aluminum radiator. I did run it for a few years with the OE copper, but replaced it when one of the tanks cracked (NOT corroded, mechanical damage)...

    Sharing a find, HO waterpump

That's what I was wondering, more water flow isn't always a good thing. It will be intersting to see what kind of results you get.

    Project Queso

I see you appropriately put 'done' in quotes... are we ever truly 'done' with our trucks... LOL

    7.3idi intake duct

Also note gas engine trucks used a similar "snorkle", but the opening at the front of the truck is smaller.

F26 dome light how to open?

I already had an LED bulb so didn't get LMCs... but I agree, the clear lens with a decent LED bulb lights up the cab a lot better.

    What is the fix?

Might be worth sending an oil sample (after you get some miles on it) to Blackstone Labs. I did after I bought my 93 back in 2005, they found trace amounts of ant-freeze in my oil, couldn't see it visually. I ran another short oil change, and it too showed trace amounts. Pulled and rebuilt my...

F26 dome light how to open?

If you end up breaking it, LMC Truck has new ones. They also have a clear refraction type lens that I like a lot better than the original white lens.

    Crewcab Project

My inner wheels are factory... I haven't noticed amy vibrations or odd wear.

Tire shop says both my inner steal dually wheels are "slightly out of round", Supposidly not uncommon.

    Aluminum rad coolant

I use Delo ELC, no need to check or add SCAs, it is designed for comercial diesel engines, supposed to be good for 750,000 miles. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00M1Y3R5I

The Official LUK 07-225 SMF Clutch Kit & ZF S5-42/47 Rollover Noise Poll

This mirrors my opinion. If I could have found a DMF for a sane price, I would have got it. Every once in a blue moon Rock Auto some how gets a stock of DMFs for not too stupid prices, of course they didn't have any when I needed one. I really miss how quiet the DMF was, but after adding some...

    7.3 IDIT CDR Grommit?

I contacted Russ, he'll ship me one seperate form the kit. As always good customer service from Russ.

    7.3 IDIT CDR Grommit?

That looks like the non-turbo version, I'm looking for the factory turbo IDI grommit. Circled in the attached pic.

    High clutch pedal effort

I had a really stiff clutch for a couple years and chased it like you are doing... then one day I pressed the clutch to be greeted by a "bang" and couldn't disengage the clutch anymore. Tore it down to find 3 of the release fingers on the pressure plate broke. Put in a new clutch and pressure...

    7.3 IDIT CDR Grommit?

Anyone know where to find a replacement grommit for the CDR on a 1993 F350 7.3 IDIT? The IDITs have the CDR directly on the driver's side valve cover, I'm looking for the rubber grommit that pops into the valve cover and seals around the CDR inlet pipe, kind of like the PVC valve cover grommits...

    Testing fuel pressure

My understanding was the only purpose of the filter heater was only to prevent wax crystals from clogging the filter... of course if it's cold enought for diesel to gel/wax, it's debatable that the pump would even be able to suck it from tank through the strainer.

    Whats these parts?

Shot in the dark... my 93 has a pressure switch on one of the brake lines right below the driver's left foot... however, I have the electric, not vacuum cruise control, so I don't know if you have a switch in the same location.

    Whats these parts?

Yes, I had the same hazard light issue, you can build your own diode setup, or you can get a prebuilt one from Drawtite (there may be other brands...) https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008FVRPEU

    New injectors and injector lines?

I believe the 6.9 #1 injector line is the same total length as the 7.3L line plus the adapter, so no change in timing. I ran a 6.9 #1 line on my 93 for several years after I had the original crack on a road trip, I eventually found the "correct" line and reinstalled the adapter on my truck.

    No bs radiator replacement

My understanding is no one has been able to find a way to get electric fans to move as much air as the factory fan does, and it becomes evident when towing.

    Wheel bearing tightness?

I didn't have to take the radius arm bracket off to replace the bushings on my 93 F350. When I had the axle pivot and sway bar disconnected, with little effort I was able to get the trailing radius arm out of the bracket. I think the key was I had everything (except the coil spring)...

    Whats these parts?

This is what my cruise control servo looks like (not my truck, but similar). Crazy fact, the horn circuit runs through it, if you disconnect the harness the horn quits working..

    Whats these parts?

Good to know, the transition must of been 93 then, I thought it was with the body style change.
  25. jrollf

    Whats these parts?

If it is like my 93, they go to other parts of the heater/AC system. FYI, at least on the OBS body trucks, cruise control is electric, not vacum
