i found out the the drain screw on my fuel filter/WS was not all the way tight, it was dripping when running. i tighted it up with channel locks and hopefully that solves the air intrustion problem, i will know in the morning
@Randy Bush cast and sheet aluminum was 25 cents per pound, and irony aluminum was 5 cents a pound. the main reason why i went yesterday was that bare bright was up to $2.60 a pound at the yard that i go to and copper prices tend to drop in the winter

so the only thing that was bad was the starter. i got a warrenty replacement from napa and put that in today and cleaned all the conections and it fired right up
i got a new connection put on my cable and threw a new starter in the truck and it is now mostly fixed, still battling cold start air intrusion but at least it cranks now
i will not be upset if it needs to be replaced lol, it was the old solenoid from my old GPC and when that quit the solenoid was still good so i kept it and i used it to replace a different starting solenoid, no idea how old it is but i have got my moneys worth from it
