Anyone have information on how to reclaim used oil for fuel?

Jesus Freak lets it settle out for a while and then filters it straight into his tank. Most people prefer to use a centrifuge.

If you have a friend that works at a quick lube that would be the easiest way to get WMO.

You can use Kolor Kut water finding paste when you get WMO or veggie oil used from an oil change business or restaurant.

20+ years ago, I worked for a guy who bought a waste oil heater to put in his shop building. It worked rather well too. Before opening that business, he sold Mac tools. He had a good relationship with the guys who worked in the shop of a truck stop. He would go and get 5-6 55 gallon drums of used oil wherever we ran low. They didn't charge him anything for it.
I've thought about using WMO, WVO, etc before. My problem is that, out here in the boonies where I live, I'd have to use a significant part of the converted fuel oil to drive around and collect enough waste to put back into my tanks. That's why I gave up on the idea years ago. It didn't seem logical for me to spend all weekend driving around and collecting the oil.

Good point.
We'll see if I ever try to run WVO or brew some BD. I live in the suburbs of OKC so getting the WVO wouldn't be a problem for me if the restaurants I visit are willing to part with it.
BD and WVO don’t handle low temps as well as Dino diesel. BD you can just add more anti-gel but wvo basically always necessitates some sort of pre heating

Yeah, I might try to brew some BD. I think you can cut WVO with diesel too so it's less viscous.
I keep used atf/oil mix in 55 gallon drums and I have a hand pump that I cut so it stops with 12inch from the bottom. I then pump about 25% into a can of diesel so it's 75% diesel 25% wmo and mix it before dumping it into fuel tank. I only use it in my front tank and leave my rear tank for only the purest of diesels
If I'm going to be on a hard ride with fully loaded truck and trailer and a lot of steep inclines, I don't use it, I feel like it might not burn enough for that workout. But that's based on feeling and zero science.
I have an electric Amazon fuel pump, no turbo, and I change my fuel filter if truck will be sitting a while.

Sorry I’m sure this is talked about in other threads but gonna ask it here again for continuity - can we run synth oil for WMO or is must be conventional?
