Ford never really changed a lot on fuel tanks during those years. If I remember right there was one 23 gallon fuel tank option in which I had a 23 gal on my 77 f-150. The 19 gal should work with new straps. If you had a picture of your fuel tank along with the correct gallons of it. You can call MTS 1-800 # on their website and talk to the representative which Ed help me finding my sending units for my truck.

If your hole in your tank is on the bottom you could always install a drain valve or a sump in it if the hole in a flat location.

Tanks from other trucks with 34" wide frames are the easiest to fit. That includes square-body Chevy K5 & Suburban. (i.e. 91-older).

Spectra Premium lists all their tank sizes on their online e-catalog.

You could also grab a bigger, 38 gallon tank like many of us have while you're at it!

Spectra F26E is the model. Doesn't take much extra to run it, you can search around for details and install stuffs.
Amazon or Rockauto will have them, either usually has free shipping too somehow... I got mine from rock auto. Love it! While you're at it do a fast-fill mod so you can use the faster diesel pumps.
