Elsewhere, I was told to try turning the guide stud on my IP to bump up the idle RPM. Is the guide stud the allen-headed screw seen between the top two injector lines in the view from the rear (it has an orange tint in your photo)...
I've been researching this as well and have found a lot of advice saying to set each piston at TDC to prevent broken GP tip from falling into the cylinder. You might do a quic search on that to ease some worries
One thing not covered is how to turn your engine by hand to line each piston up...
