I was using the rock auto site. Other sites show the same thing. I suppose I can just buy the parts at a local store and return them if they don't fit.
I need to replace the drag link and figured I would just do all the tie rods at the same time. When I'm looking up parts, it seems like everything for 2wd is showing up as having 22mm thread for the right inner/outer and 20mm thread for the left inner/outer. Does that sound right?
I want to be...
Yeah, and actually the Spectra wide style radiators have 2 X-tie bars running across it that are supposed to prevent that flex, but right at the tank and core is where I kept getting leaks. He specifically wanted to do the corner reinforcements because of how wide it is.
After my second Spectra radiator started leaking, I decided to go with an aluminum replacement. Since I have the wide 15x37" style, there is no aluminum replacement that is mass produced. I had this one custom-made and it arrived today:
Replaced the heater core. The truck has the high output heater and dealer installed AC so it made it especially difficult. It literally took all day. :(
I think that the tall style radiators are the only ones that have a plastic tank. All the wide style radiators that I've seen (and it seems like only Spectra and APDI make them) do not have plastic tanks.
I installed a new Spectra radiator early in the year and it has already developed a leak. I'm disappointed in the quality. Because I have the wide style radiator, I'm stuck with the standard replacement options. Luckily Rockauto warranties it and covers shipping, so I hope the replacement hold...
Didn't have any issues when I drove home yesterday. The gauge was reading normal the whole time. I will check the ground or see if maybe a wire is rubbing on something and causing a short.
