    2wd tie rod confusion?

I was using the rock auto site. Other sites show the same thing. I suppose I can just buy the parts at a local store and return them if they don't fit.

    2wd tie rod confusion?

I need to replace the drag link and figured I would just do all the tie rods at the same time. When I'm looking up parts, it seems like everything for 2wd is showing up as having 22mm thread for the right inner/outer and 20mm thread for the left inner/outer. Does that sound right? I want to be...

    New radiator

Yeah, and actually the Spectra wide style radiators have 2 X-tie bars running across it that are supposed to prevent that flex, but right at the tank and core is where I kept getting leaks. He specifically wanted to do the corner reinforcements because of how wide it is.

    New radiator

I was referred to a company named Dubz Thermal Products after I had initially contacted Rodney Red. Total price came out to $1,000 shipped.

    New radiator

After my second Spectra radiator started leaking, I decided to go with an aluminum replacement. Since I have the wide 15x37" style, there is no aluminum replacement that is mass produced. I had this one custom-made and it arrived today:

So what did you do with your truck today?

Replaced the heater core. The truck has the high output heater and dealer installed AC so it made it especially difficult. It literally took all day. :(

    Spectra radiator lasted 6 months

The Spectra replacement for mine just came so looks like I will be doing the same thing today. I sure hope that this one holds up.

    Spectra radiator lasted 6 months

I think that the tall style radiators are the only ones that have a plastic tank. All the wide style radiators that I've seen (and it seems like only Spectra and APDI make them) do not have plastic tanks.

Yeah, I wish I hadn't purchased it online because the return is a hassle. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

    Spectra radiator lasted 6 months

I installed a new Spectra radiator early in the year and it has already developed a leak. I'm disappointed in the quality. Because I have the wide style radiator, I'm stuck with the standard replacement options. Luckily Rockauto warranties it and covers shipping, so I hope the replacement hold...

    ISSPRO Coolant Gauge Issue!?!?

The ISSPRO instructions said that a single ignition and ground wire could be used for multiple gauges.

    ISSPRO Coolant Gauge Issue!?!?

Thanks, I will check the connector and attempt to re-press the wires.

    ISSPRO Coolant Gauge Issue!?!?

Didn't have any issues when I drove home yesterday. The gauge was reading normal the whole time. I will check the ground or see if maybe a wire is rubbing on something and causing a short.

    ISSPRO Coolant Gauge Issue!?!?

A/C stopped blowing cold air. The fan didn't cut out. It resumed working after restarting the engine.

    ISSPRO Coolant Gauge Issue!?!?

The sender for the isspro gauge is located in the driver side head in the previously unused port. Both the factory gauge and temp light are connected as well.

    ISSPRO Coolant Gauge Issue!?!?

I probably should have mentioned that I have 2 other EV2 gauges are using the same ground, also same ignition switched power. Seems kind of weird that only one would be acting up. If the ground was bad I would expect the same behavior with the other two gauges.

    ISSPRO Coolant Gauge Issue!?!?

I have an ISSPRO EV2 100-280 degree coolant gauge. When I was driving today, all the sudden the gauge spiked to and remained at 250 degrees, also the AC cut out when this happened. The factory gauge, however, was still reading normal and the overheat light did not come on. Anyways, I pulled...

1-4 lbs of boost on banks turbo

With my Banks turbo, I don't usually see more than 5psi of boost unless I'm going up a hill or under heavy acceleration. Going 65-70 on the freeway it remains at about 3psi. In their manual, Banks says that this is normal. I have the older non-wastegated turbo

Can't get upper radiator hose to seal

So it turns out that my issue just seemed to be a fitment issue with the hose. Even though the hose was fairly new, it just seemed to not fit tightly, so I tried another hose, and sure enough it sealed just fine. The hose I was having issues with was Gates. Never had issues with them before, but...

I will try the different style of hose clamps to see if it makes a difference.

Can't get upper radiator hose to seal

I tried replacing the hose clamp already. Hasn't helped. Maybe there are better quality hose clamps than the ones from the parts store?

Can't get upper radiator hose to seal

I think I will try a wire wheel, I didn't even think of that. The surface looks pretty rough though, so I guess I have to do something about it.
