Thats what Im thinking but I seen in another post about identifying crossmembers and he also had a 4wd with the same as me. Looks like ill be searching again for another crossmember or combining the old e4od one with this one so it drops down on the shaft side.
and thanks! Its not restored but...
The t-case yoke sits in line with the crossmember so using the f250 shaft can't be done without cutting the crossmember. its like i need the double cardigan to extend the shaft forward to clear the crossmember and then down to meet the d60. Ill have to post up some pictures. Maybe I have the...
Ok i guess the search for a yoke or f350 t-case is on. I had the f250 shaft in when i D60 swapped and it worked fine. But with the zf5 its obviously too long and hits the crossmember
Yeah I figured I need the f350 double joint shaft no matter what. But I'm more worried that it won't bolt onto my f250 t-case. I did more research and I think that will be the case. Either get a f350 t-case or find a yoke. I do know they make adapting u joints so I may go that route as well.
Hi all I have been running my truck all summer now (1994 F250 7.3 4wd) and finally have some time to finish my zf5/d60 swap. All I need is the front driveshaft. Supposedly I have the correct crossmember (even though it looks like the driveshaft would hit) but I need help on what shaft to...
I think I have it figured put guys, I plug the truck in for an hour and boom. fires up immediately after the WTS light goes out. I have a short to ground in the glow plug harness. unplugged harness from controller and all glow plugs, 7ohms at connector to ground. Ill be ripping it out and...
So tonight I installed a pressure gauge between lift pump and injector pump. Reads 8psi idle and down to 4-5psi 2k rpm. Thats facet pump- no regulator. Then I installed clear hose on the return side. no bubbles seen anywhere. I even checked my timing (which is dead on) and still no bubbles. Let...
I removed my pressure regulator and installed a clear hose from the lift pump to the injector pump keeping the check valve I added in place. It actually started up a lot faster this time and once running no air bubbles are seen. Do you guys think a facet (unregulated) can cause my timing to...
I wouldn’t be worried about the noise. Definitely will be considering that pump. The only thing that I wonder about is I keep reading a electric pump will band aid a return line air intrusion problem. If that’s the case then none of my return system should matter right? The truck should still...
I had the feed line before the injector pump and the return line clamped overnight. Tonight I Just removed them and it read 4psi on the lift pump. I let the wts light shut off and cranked it for 5 seconds. Nothing. Fully cycled the key and throttled halfway and it fired right up. So if this is...
What pump would you recommend? If I clamp off the faucet on the inlet and outlet it holds pressure over night until i unclamp it so I figure id rule that out
I might have to try one of his kits. And I do have a check valve between the electric lift pump and injector pump. I just think it’s weird if I have the return clamped off and the lift pump supply clamped off, the regulator pressure drops to zero in a hour. But I don’t think this is anything...
