Burn at yellow wires of big connector.

Hi all, and thanks in advance for any help...I'm learning as I go so this might be a real noob sort of question. I was replacing my blower motor and disconnected a big connector that runs to the glow plug relay, just so I could get a little more room to maneuver. Got the new blower motor in...

Replacing valve cover gasket. Anything else to do while I've got the covers off?

Hi all, I've got a little oil leak seeping from under my valve cover and I'm going to replace the gasket. I'm comfortable with this but wondering what else I might look for with the cover off? Anything in particular I should inspect or look for in there? Anything preventative it makes sense...

    Heater hose ID

Yes I saw that Bradd, thanks. Not sure how I'm going to go yet--the one that's in there now bends 90 off the block towards the front and then curves up and back again to plug into the heater. I'm not sure if those ones on rockauto are quite right--I'm going to remove the heater and get a...

    Heater hose ID

thanks again guys. I replaced my radiator not long ago and did the thermostat and water pump at that time, along with related hoses, but neglected to do this engine to heater line. Just the other day noticed a little wet spot on the street, pulled off the doghouse, and found the obvious eak...

    Heater hose ID

Oh cool, thanks Bradd. They have the molded ones at my local O'reillys also so think at this point I'll drain the system and get in there and see whats what, and then go to O'reilleys and buy whatever seems like the best replacement.

    Heater hose ID

Thanks guys. The one that's in there is molded but I suppose I will get the standard flexible hose and make it work. I appreciate the suggestions!

    Heater hose ID

Hi all, I need to replace a heater hose that connects to the engine block. On the photo below (thanks to cre1992) you can see where the hose connects at the sticky-outy thing right above and between cylinders 1 and 3. I'm struggling to figure out what's the correct hose to order. Thank you!

    Looking for 6 pin connector

Hi all, I need a new electrical connector for the cruise control servo on my 88 econoline. I have spent a bunch of time searching but can't find it so figured I'd ask here. Maybe there's a trick or some terminology I don't know or something. Here's a few pics, any help or leads are much...

    Black grease in brake drum.

Got it! It is indeed a 3.54. I swear I looked for that tag before and couldn't find it. And then you mentioned it and there it was...covered in ancient road gunk but there it was.

    Black grease in brake drum.

Well according to the door tag the axle code is 33, which my owner's manual helpfully lists as "Dana." Cubey the Ford ID link you sent says it's a Dana 61, which apparently is a 60 modified slightly for a higher gear ratio. It's got "60-ISU" (I thought it was 80 before, sorry for confusion)...

    Black grease in brake drum.

hmmm...I was basing mostly off of the similar chart here: https://bit.ly/3ojDEK1 In these images the cover of the 70 has a raised section around the drain plug, and also a notch in the bump out at the top. My van does not have these things and looks more like the 80 in this chart. BUT your...

    Black grease in brake drum.

Thanks Clb! I'll probably just go ahead and order new bearings and races in case my current ones are worn out. They are pretty inexpensive and because I have to work on the street in front of my house it's really best to plan for contingencies...it sucks to take everything apart and then...

    Black grease in brake drum.

Thanks guys! I'll move forward on a new wheel seal then. And yes, the shoes were pretty oily so I'll go ahead and replace those too. Cubey that is quite the leak!!! Mine wasn't that gnarly yet. I though it might just be brake grease until I pulled the drum off and saw how much there was. I...
