underhood air intake
i'd really suggest you put your banks box back on. it might be bulky, but it does serve a purpose, as you're seein. i still have the factory plastic tube that goes to the core support, and i notice a difference in power when its hot vs when its cold. i cant imagine the inefficiency of huffin 200...- blown84

fuel system
when i say the fuel system wasnt taken care of, i mean the the fuel in the lines was black, the fuel filter was black and actually had small holes in it from not bein replaced, the transfer pump in the tank had gone out, and the tank its self had almost half an inch of dirt in the bottom. Highest mileage IDI
well, i guess two guys got me beat for low mileage. my 84 had 94k original miles when i bought it last july from my dad, who bought it from his friend, the original owner. it now has 102k, and other than the starter goin out (thanks to my retarded roommate) and some leaky fuel return lines, she...- blown84

today i purchased my first vehicle that doesnt sport a blue oval: an 05 2500. the truck is clean and solid. but its very readily apparent that the fuel system was not cared for. the fuel filter appeared to be the original and was completely black, the high pressure pump is likely on its way out...- blown84

Broken 1/2" Tap in a cylinder head bolt hole. Major Help Needed
maybe a left hand thread tap, bout half to three-quarters of the way down the broken tap, then a small grade 8 left hand thread bolt in it?- blown84

Could be an IDI in there...
lifts are worthless if you cant clear your axles. they are SUPPOSED to be so that you can clear bigger tires, to get your axles higher up. if you dont need a lift, dont use it. if you do, only go as big as youre gonna need. bone stock suspension, 35" tires (315/75), zero rubbing.- blown84

junk yard 6.9 turbo and tach.
Actually, my truck DOES have the membrane. I think the PO's son put the cluster from another truck in without realizing there was no tach sending unit. But I DO want to wire it as you described. Does anybody have a pic of what goes where?? And I DO recall somebody on here mentioning that they...- blown84
